What should I watch for with quarantined chickens?

I have 2 golden laced Wyandotte's that are currently separated. And we are going to deworm them. Other than that is there anything we should watch out for?
W will check for fowl pox, wheezing, and leg mites.

Consider biological/medical quarantine:

My Bug Check notes:
Have you checked them over real well for mites and/or lice?

Google images of lice/mites and their eggs before the inspection so you'll know what you're looking for.

Part the feathers right down to the skin around vent, head/neck and under wings.

Best done well after dark with a strong flashlight/headlight, easier to 'catch' bird and also to check for the mites that live in structure and only come out at night to feed off roosting birds.

Wipe a white paper towel along the underside of roost to look for red smears(smashed well fed mites).

Thanks...will do. How long should I quarantine/check on them to be safest

Did you read the article I linked?
Sorry forgot to reply. Yes I read it after asking. Thanks! So I guess I should not let my original flock free range next to the coop of the quarantine chickens? Or is it okay...I figured that they might kick dirt out and into my existing flocks pasture.

So right now the quarantine chickens are in my chicken's free range pen. So should I just clean the area where the new chickens coop was?

And if the quarantine chickens are in a separate coop, that's inside of my chickens free range pen, should I move them? In case they spread dirt out? ...I think I should, but would appreciate any thoughts. They are 100 ft from my chickens coop. So the two coops are apart. I will post pictures tomorrow if requested

" The important thing to remember is that you must take precautions entering and leaving a quarantined area, and any birds that enter quarantine, intentionally or by accident, should remain in that area for the rest of the quarantine . Remember, your goal is that no dirt, droppings, dander, or any kind of bodily material belonging to a quarantined bird make it to your established flock during quarantine! "

If they're sharing run/yard space they're already exposed to each other no matter where the coops are located. There's no reliable way to "clean" the ground they or their coop was on, short of physically removing all the soil there and down several inches at least.
