So I woke up this morning to the dreaded bloody poop, lethargic and not wanting to eat pullet. My angel is just shy of 8 weeks old and has been a firecracker so I immediately knew something was wrong. I evicted them to their coop about a week ago and they have been thriving outside just fine. Actually she was fine even just last night but this morning she had ALL of the symptoms so naturally I brought her inside so I can keep an eye on her.
I am proactively treating the rest of the flock because I imagine with that amount bloody poop in the coop, it's already taken hold of the rest. They are acting just fine but I won't be defeated by procrastination or optimism! Anyways. I am wondering do you typically quarantine your sick chickens even if you are treating the entire flock?
I mostly brought her inside so that I can watch to make sure she was eating and drinking the Corid treated water. She has been eating and drinking SOME but not her usually greedy self nevertheless she has perked up significantly since this morning (she even flew up and perched on my desk). She is acting pretty stressed to be away from her flock, should I go ahead and put her back?
