A friend of mine ended up with a rescued quail but doesn’t have any birds to put her with so she’s giving her to me. Naturally, I’m going to quarantine the hen for at least 30 days but I’m worried she’ll be lonely since the quarantine zone is in a whole other room (to prevent the spread of anything airborne). Will she be okay if I spend an extra amount of time with her? My other birds don’t make their “lonely” call as long as they’re with me but I raised them as chicks so I’m sure it will be different... any advice how to keep her from getting upset? Should I just let her tough it out for a month?
