Hello..
I had 2 of my 3 ducks wiped out buy a hawk/eagle today

My surviving Indian Runner is on the only one left and is lonely. Can I introduce ducklings to her and she won't attack them, or do I need to raise them up a little before introducing them?

Any advice would be great!
Thanks!

If she was broody you may have more hope of her accepting them. Just putting them outside with her is not a good idea- especially with hawks around. I put my babies out at around 4 weeks but they dont go out with the flock during the day until 6 weeks old. Being that you only have one duck- she will likely be happy for the company - but making sure they are all safe should be your first priority.

Thanks for the info! I'll treat it like when I introduce new chickens to my flock then.. makes sense!
Thank you!
