I posted my intro but forgot to ask the question , can you use the same treatment on chicks as you do on adult chickens> permethrin, Vaseline and sevens dust ? what about Ivermectin? The last time we had this problem, we put a couple of drops in their water for a couple of weeks and it took care of the fleas and the mites very quickly. But can the baby chicks drink the water too ? its like 40 gallons with just maybe a tablespoon of the ivermectin in it? Think that would hurt the babies , the youngest group is about a month old ?
Thank you in advance for you help !

Not certain about the use of Ivermectin with chicks. I have used it on small puppies, but perhaps someone more experienced with use on chicks will reply.

No adding a tablespoon of it to 40 gallons if water will not do anything.

What exact are you trying to treat? The babies have the fleas?

I am trying to treat them for Stick tight fleas, and just was wondering if the Adams + Vaseline treatment that was posted could be used on the baby chicks. We had used the Ivermectin in the water and it worked but not going to try it with the babies. Sorry for the confusion … but I just want to know if it is safe to use the adams flea treatment on the baby chicks , thank you

I'm sorry I am not familiar with using that product on chickens.
