Question about bedding for coop I have...

I have a playhouse (from Lowe's) that I converted into a coop...and I now use it as my chick nursery each year.

I am getting ready to order some Polish bantams, and I will keep the (for the first couple of weeks) in a brooder in our garage (draft free & convenient place to monitor temps).

My question is this: has anyone used the pelleted equine bedding? It's SO absorbant, clean smelling, and tidy! I could leave it in pelleted form (as opposed to moistening the pellets and making them more like saw dust).

Have you done this? What did you think?

What I'm talking about are the wood (pine) pellet shavings -Tractor Supply sells them as "Equine Fresh" and....
