Hi, we recently aquired these 4 hens from someone local who breeds chickens and had gotten these from someone as babies. He said they were all silver laced Wyandottes. However, as you can see two have beards and two have a few leg feathers (one more than the other). We called him and he said he thinks one might have been from a different batch but he wasn't sure. Any thoughts if these ladies could be cross breeds? They are all approx. 6 months old.
Their names are SheRa, Lady Gaga, Bearded Lady, and Black Beard.
Bearded Lady has a beard and the feathered legs and is small compared to the others, while SheRa only has a few feathers on her legs (very small) and is the largest, Black Beard has a beard only, and Lady Gaga has neither but has the larger comb.
Thoughts?
