Question about broodiness

I'm about to give up she is feral so its very difficult to catch her..She usually roosts in the tree but last night she roosted in her nest box didn't come out i had to forcibly remove her from her empty nest i fed her & the roo & as of right now she is back in her nest still refusing to break...

Can u imagine she is feral & for me to get close to her is impossible she runs like crazy!!! But for me to touch her in her nesting area & stick my hand underneath her to get her to stand up & forcibly remove her from her empty nest is shocking that is how STUBBORN she really is... So maybe i should just let her sit all day all night & just collect her eggs coz there is nothing i can do... I haven't even had her for a month & i've never raised any girl hen so this is all too new to me!!! Smh

I was about to post something just like this, however Mylied beat me to it.
Make a small cage, and put wire on all 4 sides, as well as top and bottom. Put her food and water in it. This will break her from being broody, it has a great success rate.

Hello,
My rooster sometimes gets aggresive towards the girl hen heather by dancing around her with one wing down & hopping on her & chases her but after several bouts of doing that he is ok & they go on their merry way, could it be that heather is fed up with his behavior & acting this way by hiding from him?? Just trying to get some answers Thanks!

This is typical "courting" behavior from your rooster. He does his dance, mounts her (only takes a few seconds), then goes about his business. It looks really rough, but she should just shake it off and move on. If he's mounting her too much, she'll start to go bald on the back of her neck. She definitely sounds like she's gone broody. Just keep removing those eggs, maybe put some corn right next to her, and she'll eventually pull out of it.

Hello,
Its been 3 days now that my girl heather stop laying an egg after laying 13 straight & on & off laying 2 eggs then stop laying 2 days now stopping for 3 days.. I notice she stopped laying after breaking her broodiness... Is this normal???

My girls typically stop for a few days until they get back to normal. My one who remained broody for 30 days looked really rough afterward. It took her a long time to start laying again, and because she was so calcium deficient, her first couple of eggs were soft shelled. She also molted afterward. But, she's all good now!
