Question about bumblefoot surgery

Hello all!
I was wondering if I should use some type of anesthesia before I treat my leghorn for bumblefoot surgery??

I would appreciate some feedback.

It is not necessary. Just get some help, and a towel to wrap your chicken up so they are calm. Get all of the supplies out and organized before, vet wrap or tape torn, neosporin ready, some gauze, and paper towels, and make sure your knife blade or scalpel is sharp. Bleach dulls scalpels so I wouldn't use it to clean it.
