So I finnally got the call that the feed store is getting a small batch of silkies in.. (something we have looked for since we started buying)
Here is where I am worried. This feed store pretty much continuously has chicks with red, sore, featherless butts. I of course will refuse to buy one that is like that, but what about if I get one that looks fine, but is housed with some like that?
Really, what causes that, and is there anyway to prevent or treat it should it come into my small quarintine flock?
