Question about chick starter?

I went into the local feed store, they can't get in the chick starter that I wanted so I need honest opinion and a little bit of explanation. I am going to try to go as organic as possible however can't free range because of local law. What is the difference between 20 and 24 % chickstarter other then $. TIA for helping the newbie.

GONE chickencrazy and haven't even received my chicks yet. PS chicks are coming from an organic hatchery here in OK one I have not seem mentioned anywhere on this board yet will let everyone know outcome as soon as they get here.

Well... it has more protein. At times that is not desired since it will promote faster growth which can be bad in espeically heavier breeds. It should be fine though.

Silkiechicken won't lead you wrong. Here is a link that describes the need for protein, but it also tells you what can happen if there is too much. Hope this helps.
