Hello!
I am new here and new to having chickens. We have 12 chicken, 11 weeks old. I am not even sure how they are all still alive :)
Everyday is a learning process... So, I always make tamales in December and my husband froze quite a few. He is not sure he wants to eat them now and I am wondering if the chicken could have them. These are tamales from Costa Rica which are a bit different from the Mexican, but the dough is very similar prepared with lard and spices.
What do you think?

Hello and welcome to BYC. It's not something I'd feed to chickens. A proprietary feed is created to suit the dietary needs of chickens and more appropriate, in my opinion.

My chickens get everything out of the fridge, freezer and cupboard. I try to not waste anything. Mine enjoyed tamales just this weekend . everything in moderation. Toss them 2-3 as a frozen mid afternoon snack and help them beat the heat.

Welcome to BYC!
I personally would not feed it either.

How many tamales are you talking about?
