Our chicken run is near our compost pile and the chickens have decided they love picking over it. Last time I went to see what they were so intent about, it was the bugs but they're still going over it & there are no bugs out today.
They are in a pen with about 300 square feet of grass, dandelion and clover, free access to feed and water and are regularly given fresh fruits and veggies.
Will they naturally stay away from the moldy veggies, or do I need to find away to keep them away from it? (Most of the food waste is buried, but not that deep & my kids somnetimes miss the pile so it is out until I clean it up.)
