I would definately pass on the goats even suspected of CL. Waaay too complicated to control deal with to knowlingly bring in and more than likely introduce to what I understand is a clean herd/farm already.. Also knowing that the virus can lay around for a long time and boom you have an outbreak.. or as someone mentioned the internal abcesses that you won't even see to diagnose until too late.. plus it is a something that people need to be verrry cautious of gloves, coverings from clothing etc.. and properly burning or disguarding materials that have been in contact with CL goats.. I also would not necessarily call these "good dairy goats" especially if they are carriers/active. There are plenty of "good dairy goats" that are indeed clean and healthy.. I would start there for sure!
