question about cleaning eggs

I just run mine under hot water, just rubbing any gook, than air dry in my dish rack, then refrigerate, nobody has died yet, been doing it for twenty years, if I'm going to hatch them I don't wash them.

In my house, I solely take care of all the chickens/quail/ducks etc. So, when my brother pulled a ****/mud covered egg out of a carton during a big rainy period he just assumed that if it needed to be cleaned I had already done it. I walked into the kitchen and witnessed him crack the egg in a pan, and very obviously peppered his egg with the vile debris on the eggshell. Well, he ate it even though I begged him not to..... and he still lives today, although we never let him cook anything for the family that has eggs in it. Anywayysssss, yeah, there is nothing wrong with what you're doing.

I have a thing about not wanting any debris in my refrigerator, on my shoes fine, not next to my produce and cheese.
