Question about clipping wings

I am new to chickens, but have owned and handled many different pet birds before. We live in a city and our yard has a 6 foot privacy fence around it. We have four pullets (BO, BA, SLW, EE) that are now about 9 weeks old. They are really starting to test out their wings. I'm worried it is only a matter of time before one tries to hop the fence. Also, our neighbors have two sweet lab mixes who can't jump the fence, but I am almost certain would eat a chicken if it landed on their side. I am aware that clipping their wings will make it harder for them to escape predators, but in our situation the risks are greater over the fence than on our side. My question is, should I clip just one wing or both? I do want them to still be able to hop up a few feet onto the roost. If I clip only one wing will they be off balance and more prone to injury if they attempt to fly? Also, do most people clip just the primary feathers, or do you clip some of the secondaries as well?

First of all, there is a great post in the Learning center on this website about how to clip wings and which ones to clip. I suggest you take a look there. Also, they can still get up several feet even with wings clipped so no need to worry about them getting on the roost. I think you can do just one side.
