hi, I have two ducks that I have kept for a couple of months now... they stay with my chickens and eat with them the same feed. They do have a water source that I change about three times daily. Recently for some reason, I am noticing that their eggs are getting smaller. The ducks themselves are acting normal so far as I can tell, and have not lost weight...

Can anyone tell me if I'm feeding them right? The chickens eat scratch and lay mash with rice mixed together, in the afternoon they would get some greens.

Thanks for your time!

I've noticed that if I feed my ducks a lower quality feed, then the eggs do get smaller. I've also noticed that they do much better on a higher protein feed. Try looking for a higher protein layer feed, or see if you can find waterfowl or gamebird feed.
