Question about Easter eggers.

I know EE's are hybrids, but what two breeds are they? Can I take a Maran rooster and EE hen and get easter eggers? Or are they a mix of aracauna and Ameraucana?

Easter eggers are just chickens that usually lay green or blue eggs. You don't mix any specific breed to get them. Any chicken that lays a green or blue egg but doesn't fit the breed standard of the Ameraucana, Araucana, or Cream Legbar can be called an easter egger.

A marans bred to an EE will probably create a chicken that lays olive eggs, and those are generally called olive eggers.
