Question about egg size...?

I talked to a lady who had some silkies I never seen her silkies and friend of mine gave me her number and told me she had silkies. I wanted to get a few eggs to put under my hen who was sitting on one lone egg like she did before. I picked the eggs up and got home and looked at them.They are the same color same shape but a tad bit bigger then my hens eggs. Now my hen is a small white silkie. She said her hens where black silkies. she said there eggs where bigger is this true? Or do I got a surprise eggs under my hen? Maybe a silkie mix eggs? any info would be great! These guys are due to hatch on the 24th.

Silkie eggs do vary a bit in color and of course size. The older the hen the larger the egg. I have some that lay off white eggs and some that have a dark tan egg. Some of my girls are in theri 4th season of laying and their eggs are the size of Small eggs you would buy in the store. The first season layers are very small.
