Question about electrolyte water for baby chicks

Hello! I have 3 baby chicks (one barred rock and 2 silkies) they are all a week old and I was wondering if it is not good to always put electrolytes in water for baby chicks all the time.

Not good for any age really. First few days then once a week during extreme heat or cold is considered acceptable. Always with plain water available.
