Question about Feed and Weight Gain.

Actually, if they are layers, they will never get really bulky. Layers are supposed to be smaller, lighter, and will never get really muscular like meat-type birds, no matter what you feed.

I dont want them to be meaty or anything but when i pick them up all i can feel is a fat butt and skinny breast.

I just want them to be healthy looking....and feeling.

Maybe it is their gentetics at this time. If they have fat butts then they are getting enough. Sounds like the breast part is just taking longer to develope. I would not worry too much. It is like a puppy growing up where butt get higher than shoulder then vise a versa and then all at once it all comes together right and puppy is balanced. Just growth stages.
