I am feeding my five week old chicks star milling/ace hi chick mash and will be changing to their grower mash. At any rate, both of these have granite grit on their list of ingredients. is this enough grit for them, or do i need to supplement them with more. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I hope this question isn't redundant. I wanted to start feeding my chicks treats and wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. Thanks! :)

Quote: Actually, when feeding starter/grower they don't even need grit as the feed is very fine to start with. The treats, however, should be very few and given sparingly. Treats dilute the nutritional quality of the feed which is usually a balanced diet. The grit in the feed is enogh unless you feed them grain..........Pop

So is it enough grit in the feed if I add broccoli and romaine? Thanks!
