Question about feed for Mama and Chicks?

So the chicks are due to hatch tues. I just picked up medicated starter feed, the same that I used for my first group of chickens. Will it be ok for Mama too? I didnt think about it till i was leaving the store. Would I be better off going back to get non med starter? I dont want to get Mama sick!

Mama will not being laying eggs anytime soom, so no problem with tainted eggs. Since she is not laying eggs, Mama does not need extra calcium. The medicated part is probably Amprolium which will not hurt Mama. The starter should be a little higher in protein than normal layer, so that should help Mama regain her strength after going through that broody on the nest bit. I think you are good to go.
