I am wondering what you all know about selling chicks from different breeders in a feed store?

I am in charge of sourcing birds for my local feed store to carry chicks in the 2014 season. I have heard that feed stores cannot sell birds from different sources because they all need to be quarantined for 30 days.

I wanted to breed one breed myself, and source out other breeders/ local hatcheries to bring in other sources. They would be coming together as day olds... but re-ordering would be necessary.

I don't think that is true. If it was they could only sell them at a month old or older, which isn't the case.

Have you asked the GM of the store? They would know what regulations are in place for their county / state. It will vary by area. If the GM doesn't know contact the state agricultural department.
