I've noticed that my baby chicks aren't eating the larger pieces in their crumbles. They eat their food until only the biggest pieces are left, then cheep loudly until I put more in, then they eat it like greedy little pigs. Is this normal? I'm assuming they can eat the larger pieces, but they seem like they'd rather be hungry, which doesn't seem right for a chicken. Any thoughts or experience would be much appreciated.

Yeah all normal .............. no worries.

Would it be best to make them eat the big pieces before I put anymore in?

well if they starve themselfs they will die so just crush the big peaces in the blender and give it back to them

Yay Chicks! :

I would just keep adding to it. They grow so fast that they'll be eating the big pieces before you know it.
