question about feeding different aged chickens

Hello. I just got my first chickens and they are between 12 and 16 weeks old. I'm wondering what to do about feeding everyone once some are laying and some are not. Is it worse for laying chickens to stay on the flock raiser or worse for the girls who aren't laying yet to go onto layer food?

I would do a half and half mix and have oyster shell as a free choice on the side or use it for treat time.

It is important for the non laying chickens to not get too much layer since it can cause them to develop too fast so use a mixture or keep them all on developer for a little longer
