Question about Goat Shelters

I will be getting my goats tomorrow. I have a 24 x24 pipe corral 6 feet tall where I plan to keep them. I only have a plastic tarp over half of the corrol right now, plan to get a real pipe corral cover later. I would like to build something that they could sleep in or get out of the weather. Maybe a large dog house style. What do you suggest? Also I need something to keep the hay in. I do not want to store the hay in the chicken coop or my garage. Does anyone know of plans for a goat house with a storage place for hay?

We just built a shed for them to sleep in, like any other house, with a door and 4 sides seeing we get cold winters. Some people use a pole barn with one side fully open?
Anything like a storage shed you can buy at like Home Depot would work, I am guessing seeing you mentioned a dog house your getting pygmy goats?

Also, we keep out grass hay outside all year. We have it on pallets to keep it off the ground, but use a tarp over the top of it we hold down with a tire to keep it from blowing off.

you could build a little shed.. one that even has a loft where you could actually store a couple bales of hay depending on their size.. my first little barn for 3 pygmies was a 6x8 with a loft that held 2-3 bales of hay which made it handy to feed in the barn. Since then I have upgraded to a 24x 32 with full loft for storage/hay. I don't know what weather is out there but remember that goats don't like extreme temperatures and they absolutely hate rain.. so make sure what ever it is that it is protecting them from blowing/rain/extreme weather.. I would definately keep hay in good sheltered place out of weather. It does not take much to ruin hay including extreme temperatures, dampness, rain etc.. and moldy hay = sick or even dead goats!! Also keep in mind mice and other critters that could get in the hay and spoil it. Good luck.
