question about hatching RIR eggs

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I'm going to ask them anyhow.

If I have a hen and a rooster, does that automatically mean the eggs are fertilized?

And does my RIR hen know she's supposed to sit on the eggs and hatch them? Because she's not. Will she hatch her own eggs or do I have to hatch them myself?

Well If you have a hen and a roo then more than likely he is "doing his job" Have you seen him mount her ?? And she will not hatch her eggs until she is ready and it is usually later in her laying cycle. You will know when she does not get out of the laying box she is ready to be a MaMa .

Some hens never go broody. If she's a production RIR the tendency to go broody has probably been bred of of her.

So she may not ever decide to hatch her eggs then?

So only jsut started laying again about 2 weeks ago. When would then end of her cycle come around?
