Do you mean the mama heating pads for brooding chicks?exactly a dome I tried to find mine but was told it had been taken to the barn the dome can be for little peeps or anything your worried about but lets the birds have the choice
I do, but I still wouldn't be using a heat lamp with grown chickens because the risk of the birds flying into it and breaking the bulb and starting a fire. I would look into some of those wall heat plates. We have been close to -30 at times and my chickens are fine. The OP didn't specify if its a long term temperature or just occurs in spurts like it does here.I wonder if the the folks replying to this thread

If you want an even simpler comparison -40 is the same on both scales. 0ºC is where water thaws or freezes. 100ºC is where water boils. Oh yes and 16ºC = 61ºF.-35C is the same as -31F??
