The Policy page says:

MINIMUM ORDER: The minimum dollar value for an order is $25.00 in poultry, excluding male only chick orders.

There is no minimum number of chicks you can order as long as your total order of poultry is $25.00, not including shipping and handling.

SMALL ORDER CHARGE: For ship orders of less than one full box, add $7.00 handling charge and for ship orders between one and two full boxes, add $2.00 handling charges.

BOXING CHARGE: Add $1.00 service charge for each variety or sex of less than one-fourth box.

Is it a $25 min plus $7.oo plus $1.00 plus shipping?

Yes, Sometime last year though I ordered 6 lavender silkies and they still sent my order with some PP's and it wasn't the required $25 minimum.

Shipping is 15 cents a chick, so thats not too bad. Where it starts getting pricey is if you order multiple breeds.

Example:
2 RIR Pullets -$1 charge
1 RIR Rooster- $1 charge

The charge is for each different breed AND gender of the chick.

I ordered 5 breeds and 1 breed I purchased sexed. I paid $5.00 not $6.00. It went by breeds only, I didn't pay twice on one breed just because I ordered a rooster.

Yes, it is a $25 minium on the order, it doesn't include the shipping but if you're doing a small order you can't beat it. If you order from Meyer's the shipping is crazy. If I only want 3 chicks from Meyer's it would cost $38 to ship to me & that is sooooo crazy.

I ordered this from ideal -

Speckled Sussex pullet
Buff brahma pullet
3 easter egger pullets
2 blue cochin pullets
salmon faverolles pullet
black langshan pullet

It cost me about 40$. One EE pullet died.
