Hello,

if a bantam mated with a grown sized hen would the baby resemble the rooster by being small or would it just resemble color. because its the hen that lays the egg and you would think the size goes by her. ive been wondering this for a long time.

Generally the size will be midway between the rooster and the hen upon maturity.

My extremely tiny bantam Partridge Cochin roo and standard BSL had 2 eggs hatch - the resulting pullet was very small, maybe a few ounces larger than a normal bantam. The resulting cockerel was medium sized, but still 3x the size of his bantam dad.
