Question about my duck

Ok I have a female mallard that I inherited from when new jersey was hit with the tornado or whatever they called it last month my neighbor found her wandering around the church parking lot only days old and my father thinks it will be a good idea to let her go and I keep telling him its not so can I just please get some confirmation on this thank you everyone!!

if she is a wild mallard its okay,but if its domesticated dont
 
I wouldn't let it go until it gets older. At the very least wait until it gets to be mature to let it go. If you can't keep the poor little guy, I would list him in the byc forum called - animal in need of free re-homing. Someone will take him/her off your hands very quickly especially since it's very young.

Ahhhh... Yeas I forgot sry... You do have to have 20 posts before you can post under that forum. Then, in your case, I would maybe post him on Craigslist if you can't keep him. I personally wouldn't let it go by itself. They are very social creatures and it may not find a mate depending on where you leave him/her.
