Question about my Silver-laced Orpington chicks

Silver-laced orpington newbie here: we have 2 teenagers with the slate legs. What exactly is the issue with this leg color that is undesirable? Same question with the white or green legs?

For each breed of chicken, there is a standard that tells how it should look. That includes leg color.

For Orpingtons, the correct leg color is white.

If you take your chicken to a show, and it has the wrong leg color, it will be disqualified (not allowed to be shown.) If you do not want to show your chickens, but you do breed and sell them: wrong leg color causes people to say "that's not right."

But if you just want pretty birds to live in your backyard and lay eggs, the leg color is not really important.
