Question about new chickens I got

my only worry with letting them out into the yard is we have no fence set up and are out in the country. The coup should be done very soon. The chickens will also not let us get anywhere near touching them yet. I do not think the previous owner handled them much at all if any. It's something we will have to work on and hopefully in another day or two they will be in their new coop
