Question about new chicks

we let our chickens loose every day to free range during the day and put them up in the coop at night. We had one of our hens disappear and she showed up today with 14 baby chicks. Should we try to catch her and put her in a separate pen with her chicks or should we leave her free ranging?

Please do try and catch her and put her in a separate pen with her chicks. It's a miracle predators haven't wiped them out. If you are able to get ahold of the chicks she may come along to stay with them. If she won't ,at least rescue the chicks. If it is still cold by you, they should be in a brooder with a heat lamp. If you can catch her, then they won't need one. , she will care for them.

Ok. I thought so but we haven't had any luck the babies scatter when you get real close. Hoping to catch her nesting
