question about newborn hatched chick

is it ok for the chick to still have something hanging from its behind? I had one hatch today and it seems like there is a sac of something red and meaty. Its not the yolk as i know the chick absorbed that. Just didnt know if it was the cord or something that hasnt fallen off? and i cant seem to find anything on here about it. Thanks!

Probably the umbilical cord. Leave it alone... don't let other chicks peck at it. It should dry and fall off.

Its the first one hatched so i dont think it has a issue with others pecking at it. Hopefully there will be more by morning!
