We have a broody hen and no rooster so we got some fertile eggs from a neighbor to put under her. She had 6 non fertile eggs that had been under her for 2-3 days, are these still edible or did they get too hot? TIA!

I think they're edible. They didn't develop and they weren't washed.
Throughout the world they don't wash eggs and they don't refrigerate. I've been all over Latin America and the Caribbean and the eggs are on hot store shelves with no AC, often as hot as a broody hen.
If you're still worried, open them and give the sniff test.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, we don't wash or refrigerate our eggs either but temps usually don't get above 90 here so I just wasn't sure if they were too hot under the broody hen. Might try the putting them in water and seeing if they float test just to be sure :) Thanks again!
