Question about our new PVC Pipe feeder

I built a similar one for my brooder. I used smaller pipes 1 1/2 inch because I didn't want the chicks to climb in. The problem that I am having is that as they eat more feed is not flowing into the elbow. Anyone have that issue?
i would attribute that problem to the elbow. Because there's the curve,it gets stuck there, right?

Mine too, they poop on the feed but what i normally do is, i give them what will sustain them and allow them to pick what they throw on the floor.

I just built mine about 10 minutes ago and I'm thinking it's too small. I built mine with a 2" pipe to save a little on the cost. It was $12 rather than about double that for the 3". But I had to shake it quite a bit to get it to go to the ends of the elbows so they can eat it. I'm thinking I may end up having to go back and buy the 3" anyway.
