Question about pekins!

Hey guys I really want about 2 or 3 pekins. I also have 30 chicks in the brooder. Will it be ok to have 2 or 3 female ducks with 30 chickens? And also what should the ducks start out with for food and for how long? And should I leave food and water 24/7? Sorry for all the questions. I live in the high desert of California.

Every situation is different but in general it should be fine to add a few female ducks.

I use Flock Raiser for all of my birds.

I leave food and water 24/7 personally.

I agree with Kevin. However I would add (depending on your beooder set up) to have a backup plan for another brooder for the ducks, they are so messy and get everything so wet, it might be easier to clean more often a day without having 30 chicks in the way.
