Question about poultry shows

Hi, city girl here. I've never been to a poultry show and haven't a clue about where to find one. I've been doing searches online, and the only thing I can find is a list of the really big shows on the APA site. Aren't there smaller shows held more regionally? I found a few references to smaller shows, but they were all old. I found pages that said things like "Pictures of the summer 2009 show coming soon!".

I live in Charlotte, NC which is quite close to the SC border. Does anyone know of any poultry shows coming up in my area?

You might check on here, there's a section to promote shows and maybe you'll find one in your area.

Also if you have access to Backyard Poultry or such magazines, there are shows advertised there. There's a new online mag too, but I can't remember the exact name - I think it's Exhibition Poultry.

Thanks, this site has so much that I haven't even seen yet! I mostly hang out on the Incubating and Hatching forum. I found a list of shows in a link on the other forum; there's only one near me and it's too soon for me to make arrangements to drive up there.

Oh well, thanks for the suggestion. LOL
