Do hatching eggs arrive at your door, or are they sent to the nearest post office (like chicks?)

I called the PO and they will call me when they arrive so I can go pick them up. That way they don't ride around in a vehicle 1/2 the day before being delivered to my door step.

It depends on how the shipper sends them.

I always try to write: DO NOT ATTEMPT DELIVERY, PLEASE CALL XXX-XXXX FOR PICK UP

If I don't get the phone number of my buyer I just ask to hold for pickup.

I always send the shipper my cell number and tell them to write do not ship call this number. MY post office is in a small town they know me and my habit and are very nice about calling and holding they even let me come in about half hour after they closed one time. I think it is better if they dont rattle around the country in a mail car or vehicle. I am not sure it is a big deal if they do, but it is my preference
