Question about receiving hatching eggs

My mailman actually puts the box inside my house, since I work during the day. There are big signs on my door that remind him to open the door and put the box in the entryway. The morning we had 9 inches of snow and he couldn't get in my driveway, he brought them back to the PO and called me to let me know where they were.

Ours brings most packages to the door. We are also early on in her route, so the eggs were only in her van for about 20 minutes.

I prefer to have mine sent to my office; it's closer to the nearest city, and all shipments go through the city anyway so it probably cuts the trip a day. The mail lady/receptionist for our company is now an egg hatching fan, and she kindly calls me the minute they arrive.

She puts them in my mailbox - our mail gets delivered early in the day and I'm a SAHM, so I usually run right out and get them.
