At the hatchery I got 3 red sex-link and 3 gold sex-link
At first they all looked the same, but now 3 have more mature wing feathers, and the other 3 are still kind of stubby, shorter by atleast a row of growth. They are only 5 days old, but do you think it is a chance that the wing feather difference tells the 2 breeds apart? And does anyone know which they could be?

I was led to believe each type of sex link had a certain color when hatched to make them hens or roos. My Black Stars did and are easily sexed.
Didn't they tell you what mix of birds you were purchasing so you'd know the difference by the color?

They're sex-link so we know we got all hens, With the gold and red-sex link, the guy who owns the hatchery said that they look the same as chicks but will be distinguishable when they get their feathers and mature.
I was just curious if anyone else had noticed a difference in feather growth between the breeds.
