In my experience, as they mature the males' wattles will be cupped, while the females' will remain flat.

In my experience, as they mature the males' wattles will be cupped, while the females' will remain flat.

This is my experience too. Also the males seem to turn outwards so your looking into the cup part from the front and the females stay in same position as when they are young.
