question about shipped eggs

hi guys! i've read on a couple posts that you should let your shipped eggs rest after you get them. and let them rest for 6 or more hours. why do they need to rest?

It allows the air sac to get back where it belongs should they have been shaken loose by the shipping.

I unwrap them, set them in an egg tray and let them "rest" til the next morning.

It also helps the eggs get to room temp which puts less strain on the incubator's temp and humidity if they aren't cold when put in. They warm up a bit before being put into a really warm incubator
