Hello Everyone,
Last year I bought some Sienna Stars (sex link) from Hoover Hatchery. I actually did not get them directly from Hoover's. I got them from Cal-Ranch who got them from Hoover's. I was interested in getting more this year, but they are not in Hoover's 2019 line-up. I wrote Hoover's and asked them directly if they would be carrying the Sienna Stars this year. The answer was no. So, with that being said, I found out which chickens actually make a Sienna Star - a Brown Leghorn and a Sussex. My question is - Would it be Leghorn rooster over the Sussex .. and would it be the Speckled Sussex, or the Light Sussex hen? I suspect the Specked Sussex. Anyone who may have some genetics insight, or just an opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
