I am a new to chicken ownership, they are my pets and I love the fresh eggs, I own 8 chicken and one silkie, which I got by accident, BUT LOVE HER.
I have spent a lot of time building and making there coop very comfy, and making sure they are well protected,
I’m still learning! Can use all the advice I can get

As the days are getting shorter, the chickens are going to stop laying for a while. They will take this time to molt, and rest from laying so many eggs. They will build back up their calcium, and be ready to go in the spring. Your Silky will also be ready to go broody non stop.

I am concerned about some of my chickens not laying, especially my silkie is this something I should be worried about?

x2 on the not laying in winter
Also, if your silkie hasn't begun laying yet, it may take her longer than the other girls. Silkies can start laying much later than other breeds. I had one that didn't start laying until she was a year old. No health problems, just the breed! Good luck with your new flock!
