I am planning on sprouting some wild bird seed for my chickens. The bird seed is from a brand called Wagners and contains white millet, milo, cracked corn, black oil sunflower seeds, striped sunflower seeds, peanut kernels, nyjer seed, and safflower seed.
My concern is that I just read about milo not being good for human consumption. I won't directly be eating the sprouts myself, but my chickens will and I do eat my hens eggs.
Are milo sprouts harmful to birds, and will it still be safe to eat their eggs?
Thanks in advance.
