Question about storing scratch

So I was storing scratch in a plastic bin, but of course some wildlife found an interest in chewed a hole through it. So I bought a metal trash can and that's worked wonderfully, except now the weather has caused a dew point. This has caused the inside of the metal can to get wet, and the scratch has gotten wet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Elevate the metal can on a pallet or something similar to allow airflow around the bottom, make sure direct sunlight never hits it. I also like to sprinkle some Sweet PDZ in the bottom of the can, to get in that track where the walls meet the bottom of the can - don't know if it really makes a difference, but it isn't a big waste if it doesn't!

Yes, metal sweats with temp/humidity fluctuations. Usually feed comes in water proof/ resistant bags. You can leave it in that and put it in can or line your can with something to keep a moisture barrier between can and feed
