Paint silkies question

I have the opportunity to get some paint silky eggs to hatch. Tell me everything you know about this breed. The pros and the cons, etc.

Sweet-natured, dumb, very prone to broodiness, terribly pretty and not always the best for free-ranging, as their eyes are partially covered. All said, I recommend them. They're fun!

 

[Not-so Slick Chicken]

Silkies have silked feathers which won't allow them to fly
Great for keeping them contained
Not great for escaping predators
Highly recommend an extremely secure coop and run to keep out all pests, and watching them when they free range

I've also been eyeing paint silkies
